- Enter your Registration Number (e.g. the number printed on your admission letter) in the first field.
- Enter your Password in the second field. Click the eye icon if you want to check what you typed.

2. The Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. Think of it as your control center. It includes:
Tip: If you only remember one screen, remember the Dashboard. Almost everything you need in a hurry is one click away from the Quick Action Buttons.
3. Sidebar Layout
| Category | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Core | Dashboard - your home screen |
| Academics | Course Registration, TimeTable, Academic Requisitions, Lecturers Evaluation, Graduation Request, Clearance Request, Moodle, MyLoft, Student Resources |
| Financials | Fees Statement, Receipts, Payment Plan |
| Examination | Exam Card, Special Exam Card, Semester Result Slip, Provisional Results |
| Settings | Change Password |
Click any item once - there are no hidden sub-menus, so navigation only ever takes a single click.
4. Academics Section
Course Registration
- Open Course Registration from the sidebar.
- Check your name, student number, current semester, and programme at the top to confirm you're registering for the right term.
- Review the list of past registrations shown, including units taken and amounts billed per stage.
- Follow the on-page instructions: choose a Registration Type, click Get Units to Register, select your units, then click Add Selected Units to the Basket.
- Review your basket list and click Complete Registration to confirm. Use Get Elective Units to Register if you need to add electives.
TimeTable
Open TimeTable to see a table of every unit you're enrolled in, along with the class group, day, time, room, building, and lecturer's name - handy for planning your week.
Academic Requisitions
Use this page to request documents like transcripts or introduction letters. Click New Requisition to start one, then use Send Approval Request to submit it and View Approval Status to track progress.
Lecturers Evaluation
Each semester, open this page and click Evaluate next to each unit to rate your learning experience and lecturer performance.
Graduation Request & Clearance Request
These two are only relevant once you're in your final stage of study. If you try to access Graduation Request before you're eligible, you'll see a message such as "You are not in the graduating List" - that's expected and not an error on your part.
Moodle & MyLoft
5. Financials Section
Fees Statement lists every charge and payment posted to your account in date order, with a running balance column and a Print Fee Statement button at the top.
Receipts lists each payment you've made with its receipt number, date, payment mode, and a Print Receipt button so you can download proof of payment any time.
Payment Plan shows any installment arrangement set up for your fees.
Always cross-check your Fees Statement balance before exam time - unpaid balances can affect your Exam Card eligibility shown on the Dashboard.
6. Examination Section
Exam Card / Special Exam Card opens a built-in document viewer showing your personalized exam authorization slip for the current semester, complete with your photo, unit codes, and unit names. Use the Download PDF button at the bottom-right of the viewer to save a copy, or the printer icon to print it directly.
Semester Result Slip and Provisional Results let you check grades once they're released.
7. Settings
Change Password is the only item here - use it periodically to keep your account secure, especially if you ever used a temporary password to log in for the first time.

That's it! With this map of the portal, you should be able to find anything in a couple of clicks. If a page ever shows an unexpected error message, it's usually just telling you that an action isn't available yet for your current stage (e.g. graduation requests before your final semester) rather than something being broken.
Note: The View Student Resources link on the Dashboard opens an external site (tangaza.ac.ke) separate from the main portal, in a new tab.
